Flying presents a completely new world, and the flying above the sea coast is a totally amazing and unforgettable experience.
For already five years I’ve been flying above the blue space of the Adriatic sea, on the same those locations from which the aircrafts of the former Kingdom of Yugoslavia used to take off once in the past.
In the summer of 2001, my FIB was a real attraction for all the tourists that were spending their holidays on the Riviera of Budva. Many hundreds of tourists took a flight and got an opportunity to observe our coast from the completely different perspective… from the air. It was altogether my contribution to the popularization of the aviation in a popular and attractive way.
Having been flying for five seasons now on the joy of many guests who made their dream of flying come true, beaten their fear of flying and experienced something unusual, this way of flying contributes to the tourist offer of Serbia and Montenegro. Most of the tourists that fly with me in my ‘flying boat’ take with them their cameras record or take pictures and by showing them to their friends and relatives, promote the beauty of our coast.
Many televisions expressed an interest for this new aircraft which showed up on the sky above the Riviera of Budva. Many cameramen and newspaper photographers flew with me in order to shoot from the air. Several famous domestic singers hired my ‘flying boat’ for filming their music videos, as it is very suitable for such needs.
Also, by doing this job I was honored to meet and to fly with many persons who gave their contribution to the aviation. Starting with my friend and trainer colonel Boško Todorović to whom I ‘owe’ the wings and finishing with many pilots of different world air force and civil aviations, who liked to fly with me as tourists.
There were many well-known names in the world of flying, cosmonauts, test pilots and pilots of various types of aircrafts in various wars. Some of them fought on different sides in the WW II in the recent wars. Among my ‘passengers’ were: a man who began the flight training in the remote 1936 on the “Tiger moth”, and few years later participated in bombing of Berlin; a Russian pilot from the Vietnam War; an American test pilot; an Israeli war pilot from the Yom Kipur War; a Serbian infantry pilot on IL – 2 from the Front of the Srem; and many, many pilots of the modern airplanes and helicopters.
Although all of them maybe once were even on the confronted sides, the thing that connected them with me and my ‘flying boat’ is the love for flying and that feeling of freedom that flying gives you.
